David Jones, Sr. died in 2019. Courier Journal reporter, Joe Gerth, lamented the death of this “civic money man” with “big shoes to fill.” Maybe I missed it, but there’s no mention to the larger than life role Jones, Sr. played in shifting the state of Kentucky’s politics into deeper red territory.
The same reporter admonished a Black female, Attica Scott, for daring to file to run for US Congress to fill the seat currently occupied by John Yarmuth. That article and admonishment did not age well.
